Deck Project

This is a project that I did for my grandparents during the summer of 2010. The old deck was built with their house, about 50 years ago. It was made of redwood and was in need of repair. Most of the deck boards were still good, so what we decided to do was disassemble and save the deck boards that were in the best condition. We then planed the underside of the deck boards, cut the bad ends off, and used them for the new deck. The frame was constructed using new pressure treated lumber, and the railings are tensioned stainless steel cable.
